Pixel widths and cut-off points are estimates. Google can change how it shows a result, and it decides whether your page appears in an AI Overview.

Fetch a page URL to run the AI-readiness check on it.

How it works

  1. Add your page. Enter a URL and press Fetch data, or type the title and description by hand.
  2. Adjust the text. Edit until the length bars are green and the preview reads well.
  3. Compare views. Switch between the Google result and the AI Overview, on desktop and mobile.

Questions and answers

What is a SERP preview?

A SERP preview shows how your page title, web address and meta description can look in Google search results before you publish or change them.

How long should a meta title be?

Aim for roughly 50 to 60 characters, or about 600 pixels on desktop. Pixel width matters more than character count, because letters are not all the same width.

How long should a meta description be?

Around 120 to 158 characters is a good target. Google may still rewrite it to match what the searcher typed.

Is the AI Overview preview real?

No. It is an illustrative mock-up built from your title and description so you can picture how a source card may look. Google decides what its AI Overviews show, and no tool can promise that your page will be included.

What does the AI-readiness check look at?

It looks at common page signals that help AI features understand and quote a page: a direct answer near the top, question headings, structured data, author and date, lists or tables, and clean indexing.

Do you keep my pages?

No. The tool reads the public title, description and headings of the address you enter, and keeps that result for one hour only to save time.
